Amateur Radio License Class
Ever been interested in Amateur Radio?
It’s never been easier to get in to this exciting hobby!
Now is your chance to get your license. It’s not just your grandfather’s hobby
anymore. This hobby has no age restrictions; anyone of any age can earn a FCC
license. Experience making contacts all over the country and the world without the
Internet or telephone wires! Meet new people and make new friends from across town to around the world!
Do you like to work with electronics, build or repair equipment? Tired of just listening to “shortwave” or scanners? Amateur Radio Operators are more than just talkers. We lead the way in designing new technology, experimentation with existing technology. We also help out in emergencies and provide critical communications in disasters!
Where: Conneaut Public Library in Conneaut, Ohio
When: Starting March 5th @ 6pm and continuing once a week for 6 weeks.
Cost: The class is free. There is a $14 charge by FCC to take the exam for the license. Study materials will be available for use with deposit or by purchase.

The O.P.E.R.A.T.I.O.N. Team is an all volunteer amateur radio communications team. The Team provides supplemental communications in the event of emergencies or disasters for national, state and local government agencies. The team also performs radio communications for specials events, parades, races and other various public services.
